Where the money leans, and why
Most of what we own sits in four lanes. Two more keep it honest. The chart on the ledger page infers these from the tickers, so treat it as a sketch; this is the thinking behind the sketch.
AI
The model providers, the software, and the platform layers that translate compute into usable products and productivity. This is the lane I felt first, finishing grad school in 2022, and it is still the one most of the others serve.
Semiconductors
Design, fabrication, packaging, memory, and the industrial base that makes advanced computing possible. The chips, fabs, and memory that AI needs to be real rather than a demo.
Infrastructure
Logistics, compute, industrial assets, and the connective systems that make scale and resilience possible. I spend my working life inside one of these systems, which is probably why I trust them more than stories.
Energy
Generation, transmission, and the supply chains behind them, which matter more as industry and AI become more power-hungry. The power layer behind factories, grids, and data centers.
Index funds
Broad-market exposure as the base layer: discipline, diversification, and long-horizon compounding. For most people this is the whole answer, and nothing above is an argument against it.
Options
A smaller and more explicit risk sleeve, used carefully and documented honestly rather than romanticized. The options trainer exists because I want to understand this lane before I use it, and I want you to be able to check my arithmetic.
